Laser Connect two-bot controls and coordination
Sources used
The two-control setup
The Scratch instructions say the red bot moves with WASD and the blue bot moves with the arrow keys.
Because each bot has its own control scheme, the first challenge is hand placement. Put one hand on WASD and one hand on the arrow keys before the level becomes busy.
What the source goal implies
The source instructions tell players to try to get to the last level. That is a progression goal, not a score-chasing goal.
A better strategy is to solve one room cleanly before rushing into the next. If a room fails, ask which bot was out of position.
How to practice coordination
Move one bot at a time when learning the room. Switch to coordinated movement only after you know what each bot needs to do.
This advice follows directly from the source controls: two separate inputs mean two separate plans.
Quick checklist
- Left hand on WASD, right hand on arrow keys.
- Move one bot first to learn the room.
- Coordinate both bots only after the route is clear.
- Review the failed bot position before restarting.
